Natural Health Laboratories is a New Zealand owned company producing products in New Zealand, for New Zealanders - dedicated to improving health outcomes through information, education and the manufacture and supply of quality dietary supplements.
The company was started back in 1997 when two pharmacists – Mike Cushman and Denis Kay – came to realise that the current pharmaceutical model was limited. Simply put, it couldn’t provide the total answer to delivering wellness for their customers. It was the pharmacists Duty of Care to their customers that moved Mike and Denis to find a better way – and that meant changing the model.
Being pharmacists, Mike and Denis researched general and specific conditions to understand key drivers that triggered the imbalances and caused specific conditions. Along with this they researched the impact of modern medicines on body processes and their contribution to these imbalances. Thus the Clinicians range of products – designed by pharmacists for the pharmacy market was born. Clinicians products have been developed on the concept of supporting rather than competing with modern medicines.
In July 2008 Natural Health Laboratories was bought by Douglas Pharmaceuticals. The Clinicians team are delighted to be working alongside the team at Douglas Pharmaceuticals Ltd and are excited about the synergy that our two companies can offer the pharmacy and health sectors.
